Material & Grades
Glory Rail’s cast steel sheaves are manufactured using the GB/T 11352 series of cast carbon steel.
Our primary grade is ZG270-500 (yield strength ≥270 MPa, tensile strength ≥500 MPa); we also supply cast steel sheaves made from ZG25 (≈ ZG230-450) and the full range of ZG230-450 / ZG270-500 / ZG310-570 [7]—For heavy-duty or low-temperature applications, 42CrMo alloy cast steel and Q345E (−40°C) are available.

Features of Cast Steel Pulleys
Glory Rail’s heavy-duty cast steel sheaves are specifically designed for high-strength, impact-resistant lifting applications; even under the most demanding operating conditions, the extra-heavy cast steel sheaves can handle loads of up to 200 metric tons. Available in either solid web or double web cast steel configurations, these sheaves are customized to meet specific load and weight-reduction requirements—they are high-quality carbon steel cast sheaves featuring medium-frequency quenched rope grooves (hardness HB350+) for enhanced wear resistance and extended service life.
High Strength & Impact Resistance: ZG270-500 has a yield strength of ≥270 MPa and a tensile strength of ≥500 MPa, making it resistant to brittle fracture under high-frequency impact.
Heavy-Duty and Extra-Heavy-Duty: We offer extra heavy-duty cast steel sheaves suitable for medium- to heavy-duty applications in bridge and gantry cranes, with a load capacity of up to 200 metric tons.
Structural Options: Solid web / Double web cast steel structures, customized to meet load-bearing and weight-reduction requirements.
Wear Resistance and Extended Service Life: Rope grooves can be medium-frequency hardened to a hardness of HB350+, extending the service life of both the wire rope and the sheave flange; these are high-quality carbon steel cast sheaves.
