The C-hook coil lifter manufactured by Glory Rail is specifically designed for the horizontal lifting and handling of coiled materials such as steel coils and aluminum coils. Its C-shaped structure passes directly through the inner diameter of the steel coil, allowing the crane’s C-hook to support the entire weight without the need for auxiliary slings. All products are designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME B30.20 and ASME BTH-1 standards and feature a counterweight self-balancing structure to ensure that the hook remains level throughout the lifting process.

C Hook Types & Models

Glory Rail offers a variety of C-hook crane and lifting coil configurations to suit all types of coil handling scenarios. Whether you need the economical Simple C-Hook for standard coils or the Double C-Hook for parallel lifting, we have a solution for you.

Simple C Hook

Basic C-hook coil lifter for horizontal lifting of a single coil at a time. The self-balancing counterweight structure keeps the hook arm level under load. The side handle facilitates manual positioning, making it an ideal choice for C-hooks used for hanging coils in steel mills and processing centers.

Lifts 1 coil per cycle

Top fixation: eye / pin / 2-leg chain

C type lifting hook

Counterweight C Hook

The most versatile C-hook for coil lifting, designed for handling coils of varying weights. The counterweight rotates around the suspension pivot to dynamically offset the torque caused by eccentric loads. It is the crane C-hook of choice for multi-product processing centers that use C-hooks for lifting steel coils.

Adjustable counterweight positions

Optional C hook clamp with mechanical lock

Rotating crane C hook

The addition of precision rotary bearings at the suspension pivot allows the C-hook coil body to rotate continuously through 360°. Operators can rotate the coil to install a core or position it on the production line without having to re-rig the load—significantly improving workflow efficiency for C-hook cranes and lifting coils.

turner c hook for sale

Turner C Hook Coil

With its slender C-shaped profile and integrated top lifting eye, it is designed for precise positioning in confined spaces. Unlike conventional C-hooks for hanging, which require space for a counterweight arm, the Turner can maneuver through narrow aisles and between tightly stacked coils.

Top fixation: single eye (no chain sling)

Compact counterweight integrated in body

Min height loss for low-headroom facilities

fork type c hook supplier

Fork C Hook Coil

The fork model can simultaneously lift two coils on its horizontal fork arms, doubling throughput. Each fork arm is independently equipped with a self-balancing counterweight structure. It is a high-efficiency heavy-lifting machine designed for high-capacity operations.

Adjustable fork arm spacing

Crane must handle 2 coils + hook self-weight

double c hook for sale

Double C Hook

Two mirror-image C-hook arms mounted on a common base allow for the balanced, simultaneous lifting of two coils. Unlike fork-type (surface contact) lifting, the double-coil C-hook grips each coil by engaging its inner diameter—providing full enclosure and maximum stability. Designed in accordance with EN 13155 for safe double-coil lifting.

Where C Hooks for Lifting Steel Coils Are Used

Glory Rail C-hook coil lifting equipment spans the entire coil processing supply chain—from primary steel mills to finished product distribution:

Steel Mills and Hot-Rolling Shops: Directly hoisting hot-rolled steel coils from the rolling mill.

Cold-Rolled Sheet Processing Centers: Transferring coils between pickling, cold-rolling, galvanizing, and slitting lines.

Transit Warehouses and Logistics Hubs: Loading and unloading coils from trucks and railcars.

Port Terminals: Use gantry cranes and portal crane systems to load and unload coils for import and export.

Aluminum/Copper Coil Plants: Apply surface protective coatings to non-ferrous metal coils.Paper Mills: Use C-hooks for hanging paper rolls to increase the contact surface area.

Compatible Coil Types

Hot-rolled steel coils, cold-rolled steel coils, galvanized coils, stainless steel coils, aluminum coils, copper coils, and paper coils.

The inner diameter of the lifting hook is customized based on the inner diameter of the steel coil; the rated load must be greater than or equal to the weight of the coil; the hook structure is designed to accommodate the coil width to ensure stable and balanced lifting.
